Heavenly

Heaven can certainly wait, we’re having too much of a good time down here where its warmer!

We’re not sure if it is synchronicity or divine intervention, but following the recent Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute BALL in New York, everything seems to look like it was inspired by their theme “Heavenly Bodies”, Fashion and the Catholic imagination! In our case a little Jewish/Muslim/Hindu influence inevitably creeps in too. We particularly liked, Lily Collins, Cara Delevingne, Zendaya, Bella Hadid, Rita Ora, Zoe Kravitz, Frances Mcdormand and Evan Rachel Wood

Our latest offering is not quite a new collection but a first Autumn/Winter input. Some must have pieces to update your wardrobe like the godet shirt and the cut away polo neck. We have also mixed in some new pieces not shown in our last collection. All very limited edition or one off to keep the quality, luxury and exclusivity that KLȗK CGDT stands for.

We recently showed these pieces at Arise Fashion Week Lagos to much acclaim, not least that Naomi Campbell, yes THE NAOMI CAMPBELL chose us as one of only 5 collections to walk for. She is truly beautiful and flawless and lights up the darkness. To have a supermodel open your show and her personal stylist, Jenke (also Beyonce and Kim Kardashian’s secret weapon), style the show is a huge honour and was an experience and memory that we will cherish for a very long time.

Lagos is so different to South Africa, it is frenetic and fast and loud and the people are friendly and interested in what we do. We love that they are so in touch with the international fashion scene. They want the best of everything and we are humbled that they appreciate a proudly South African brand and recognise us as one of the continents leading design houses.
